What is Gun Cotton? How is it different from Black Gun Powder?

Nitrocellulose (also known as cellulose nitrate, flash paper, flash cotton, guncotton, pyroxylin, and flash string, depending on form) is a highly flammable compound formed by nitrating cellulose through exposure to a mixture of nitric acid and sulfuric acid. One of its first major uses was as guncotton, a replacement for gunpowder as a propellant in firearms. Guncotton was actually developed as a “Smokeless Gun Powder”, Essentially, the main difference between Black Gun Powder and Smokeless Gun Powder is that you need almost zero incombustible components. The key problem with black powder was that it produced a cloud of smoke, not only from Un combusted carbon but also, unavoidably, from ash, the salts formed from whatever anion happened to latch on to the sodium or potassium cations present from the nitrates in black powders. Black powder ash contains a high proportion of potassium or sodium sulfates and carbonates, and because the inorganic saltpeter component was about 2/3 of...

What is an Equinox? What's the Difference between a Solstice and an Equinox?

Equinox is a date when the duration of the day is equal to the duration of the night. The Sun will pass directly above the equator, bringing nearly equal amounts of day and night to all parts of Earth. At the equator, an equinox results in about 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of the night. Equinox means "equal night" in Latin. Solstice, is an event that occurs twice a year, where the Sun appears to reach it's northernmost or farthest point from an observer on earth or southernmost or the closest point from an observer on earth.  An equinox occurs midway between the two solstices, due to the position of the sun, solstices are dates when the duration of the day is least equal to the duration of the night.  The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and happens around 21 December in the Southern Hemisphere and 21 June in the Northern Hemisphere. The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year and happens around 21 June in the Southern Hemisphere and 21 Decem...

What is Metaverse?

Oh no! The metaverse is here and invading your life. It's one of the most feared words in our future, a dystopian fantasy comes true. The truth is, it's not being forced upon you. You have a choice to explore this ever-changing landscape, which in reality has little to do with the much-discussed (and very complex) "virtual reality" technology that it is often confused for. This post will help illuminate the many facts of what makes up the metaverse — from augmented reality to virtual reality — and provide you with resources that'll help you better understand this new era of communication and entertainment that we live in now. What Is The Metaverse? The coining of the term “Metaverse” is credited to author Neal Stephenson from his science fiction novel “Snow Crash” in 1992. The novel envisioned the next internet iteration where lifelike virtual avatars connect with one another through virtual reality environments and realistic 3D buildings. Since then, technology...

WATCH INSTAGRAM STORIES ANONYMOUSLY!!!?

If you want to see anyone's Instagram story without letting them know, If you've ever wanted to be a fly on the wall at an Instagram Story, then this blog post is for you.  In this post, I'll tell you all about the best websites that will let you watch anyone's stories anonymously. In addition to that, you will not need to login into that website. Ahead of time, though, there are a few things that everyone should know before trying to spy on someone else's Instagram Stories. You need to have a bit of patience in order to make this work, given that there's always a chance that the one you're spying on could beat you to it. Most importantly, you can't expect this to work for every account that you try it on. There's also no way of knowing how much of the stories you'll actually be able to see and how long the access will last for. However, you cannot be able to see the stories of those who have a private account. below are the links to some websit...

What Is The Difference Between Map And Globe?

A map and a globe are very much different. While a map gives a two dimensional presentation of certain regions in the world, a globe gives a three dimensional presentation of the entire world. A map is easy to use and portable, whereas a globe is not. The regions can be easily identified in a map than in a globe. A map presents the physical features of a particular region of the earth on a plane surface. Maps come with various symbols and signs related to the geographical and physical features. A globe can be called as a duplicate earth. It is round in shape and shows accurate areas, distances, directions and relative shape and size. A map presents a distorted view as it is flat. On the contrary, a globe presents a less deformed view as it is round in shape. When talking of accuracy, a globe is more accurate than the map. Maps may have wide gaps between regions, that are not seen in globes that only give the right measurements. In a map, one can see that the land towards the Nort...

Here's a glimpse of what NASA's James Webb Telescope can do

According to NASA, the telescope's other instruments will be aligned over the next six weeks. A Near-Infrared Spectrograph (used to evaluate an object's physical properties like temperature and mass), a Mid-Infrared Instrument (to enlarge its ability to see distant galaxies and newly formed stars), and a Fine Guidance Sensor (to ensure it takes high-quality images) are some of the instruments included. By the end of May, JWST is expected to be fully operational, located about a million miles from Earth. It is hoped that the telescope's first scientific observations will provide new insights into the 19 galaxies close to our Milky Way and how the cosmos was born. Even though we probably just want to see beautiful shots of nebulae, mysterious planets, and ominous black holes.

YouTube earnings are kept separate from Google AdSense earnings

A dedicated AdSense for YouTube homepage is also being added to the platform, along with separate payment thresholds. YouTube earnings will now go into its own Google AdSense for YouTube homepage and payment account, according to a company announcement on Wednesday. The change takes effect in March and will continue over the coming months. Google first notified YouTube publishers about this change in January with an email. Google will soon stop including YouTube earnings alongside AdSense earnings. By notifying colleagues and/or stakeholders of this change, confusion can be reduced when the changes are implemented. These earnings aren't actually decreased for AdSense publishers, they're simply reorganized. The payment thresholds for AdSense and YouTube have been increased, so it may take some time for some to reach the thresholds. Separate payment thresholds. Hence, YouTube earnings will be chunked into its own payments account, so that YouTube and AdSense payment thresholds w...
