Massive Solar Storms May Shutdown Internet Around The World, Fears Expert

Dated:-31 Aug 2021 Solar storms or coronal mass ejections are known to cause damage to electrical grids and cause blackouts, however, experts are of the belief that they could also adversely affect the internet infrastructure, causing a global internet outage.  This was revealed by the University of California, Irvine’s Sangeetha Abdu Jyothi at the SIGCOMM 2021 data communication conference last week. She revealed, in her research, that even though local and regional internet infrastructure would be at low risk of damage during extreme solar storms as they mostly use fibre optic cables and are not affected by geomagnetically induced currents. OPTIMUS IS FUTURE😍 Tesla will build a humanoid robot called Tesla Bot, CEO Elon Musk said on Thursday. “We’re also good at sensors and batteries and we’ll probably have a prototype next year that looks like this,” Musk said, shortly after an actor in a body suit designed to look like the Tesla robot gyrated wildly on stage.   When the astronauts land on Mars, there will be storable food from Earth waiting for them to use. The storable food from Earth will only serve as emergency rations, which means the astronauts will try to eat as much fresh food that they produce on Mars as possible. Indian scientists discover 'mermaid' plant species

  The Indian archipelago of Andaman and Nicobar is home to a new species of plant. Biologists found a marine green algae during a trip to the island in 2019. Scientists spent nearly two years identifying this species for the first time, which is a laborious process. A new algae species was found on the islands for the first time in more than four decades, according to researchers. A species of Acetabularia has been named by scientists from the Central University of Punjab. JALAKANAYA is a goddess of the seas and mermaids in Sanskrit. Hans Christian Anderson's eponymous fairy tale, Little Mermaid, influenced the scientist's research. "The newly discovered species is so stunning. It has caps with intricate designs as if it were umbrellas of a mermaid," said Dr Felix Bast, who led the study.   How does the Mechanical Mouse work? A mechanical mouse consists of a heavy rubber ball whose movement makes the cursor move on the screen. Commonly known as the ‘rolling rubber ball’ mouse, it is considerably heavy, thanks to the rubber ball, a few wheels, and a number of other mechanical parts present inside it. When you move the mouse, the ball rolls beneath it, pushing the two plastic wheels/rollers linked to it in the process. One of those wheels detects side-to-side movement (x-axis wheel) and the other (y-axis wheel) detects movement in the up-and-down direction. Both of these wheels consist of spokes that ‘break’ a thin light beam inside the mouse. The number of times the beam breaks helps to calculate how far the mouse has moved. For instance, when you move the mouse straight up, the y-axis wheel turns. The farther up you go, the more the ball pushes the wheel and the more it breaks the light beam.
